This green building near the Takahashi Shopping District consists of the Organic Food & Counter Bar, "ORGANICO", and the Italian Restaurant, "Taverna Nome" on the first floor and "BAR NICO" on the second floor. It began with the opening of BAR NICO on the second floor twelve years ago by the former owner of a famous apparel company. It is a popular store that is bustling with customers everyday, being attracted by its variety of good taste miscellaneous goods, interiors and the lineup of items that local music lovers cannot resist. After graduating from college, Mr. Kota Kobayashi went to England under the name of studying abroad. What he actually did was to inundate himself with music every day by working part-time in a record store, keeping his studies in moderation. After returning to Japan, he acquired the experience of working as a cook and as a bar tender in a few restaurants. Thereafter, he encountered BAR NICO which made him say, "Everything that I love is here (at NICO's) -- music, cooking and serving the customers at the counter!" Without any hesitation, he decided to work there.

Not only do the regulars gather here every night, foreigners who are visiting Japan also come on a daily basis. Granted that Mr. Kota's attention plays a part, the regulars who are not proficient in English and the foreign customers have a great time, sharing mutual understanding as they enjoy the music and their drinks.
